| I'm a photographer/artist known everywhere else as Xanda and since August 2000 I've been photographing both new and experienced models. Although I like a great many artists and photographers, I try not to be directly influenced by any of them. I tend not to direct the models I work with and instead allow them to find their own poses and expressions. I photoshop most images to some extent. Some I Photoshop a lot...usually in the interests of experimentation (ie playing). I try not to take anything too seriously (including myself) but I am passionate about the work I do. If you want to know more just ask. I have a website and profiles on a number of other sites such as Model Mayhem and ePhotozine. I am constantly amazed by the diversity of work on DA and the remarkable talent shown by, in particular, young female photographers who can teach all of us a thing or two about composition, style and artistic expression. They appear unhindered by the conventions that restrict far too many photographers of my own and older generations. I find them a tremendous source of inspiration and I sincerely hope that these young women are the future of photography because in their hands it will be safe. |
